Mah Herr (cause that's how I say it in Texan yo)

So.. I signed up for Flickr. How come nobody told me about all cool features? XD I've just marked on a map exact places and times each of my photos uploaded so far, were taken. So far it's just stuff from my cameraphone, that till now has been just kind of stuck on there. I love that I can upload direct from my phone by picture texting to a personalized e-mail. :] I slapped up a few photos as a test at first, then got excited when I realized I could pull everything off my phone easy this way.

I don't have it set public yet, cause I'm still figuring it out, but I mainly was posting to share this lovely cameraphone pic of me. :P

Photo-0239.jpeg, originally uploaded by rorekgwolfe.

I'm itching to cut my hair again and I want opinions. I'm trying to decide if I should leave it alone, or just cut it really short again. e_e;; I know I can't do my mohawk right now, so I need to figure out something I can do that I will enjoy, but will still be theoretically work appropriate.

Hmmn, gonna have to work on the auto-formatting from Flikr, but for a first post it aint bad.

Oh, and it has nothing to do with much, but Christy and I caught some sort of flu. e_e;; Been sore and achey for a few days now, and I'm a little worried it's moved to my lungs, but at least my joints aren't swelling as bad now.

::edit:: So while I was dicking around, I set it up so I can also update my facebook via my phone. :B Next I will try and figure out twitter, which I signed up for some time ago. I am so behind the times. It took me like four months (I think, I'm not sure when exactly I signed up for Facebook, and I can't figure out where to find that date) to sort out how to update it from my phone.

This is one more sign that I am old, by teenaged standards. Technology shouldn't confuse me damnit, I'm only 26. :[

..my hair..

I really miss my mohawk. I'm feeling that itch again. I know I need to be presentable for interviews, and I need to GET some interviews. I'm just feeling it again. I liked it, I miss it so much. :[

I was looking at old pics from last year when I was rocking it for the first time, and it looked so awesome. :[ Gah. I need a job, and I need one that might not care if my hair is like that. e_e;; I don't need it blue again or anything I just.. really miss my hawk. Fffffffffffffff. *fuss fuss*

Insomniac Blathering

I have determined that Mountain Dew tastes like Swedish Fish. Not the green Mountain Dew, the new one, the blue one (Voltage). I discovered this when we went to the store to get more Code Red, and they were out. So, I looked, and decided, "I like Citrus! I like Raspberries! I'll give it a go!"

So I did. I tried it. It's a bit too sweet for me to swap over entirely, but as a go between, when they're out of Code Red, sure. It's not bad, just.. I think of Swedish Fish at every sip. It also makes me think of the blue synthehol drinks from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I just picture Riker, or Jordi, or Data, twirling a swizzle stick in one, sipping it idly. I'm lame like that.

And while I'm rambling on, I come to dolls. I like dolls. I didn't use to. When I was a little kid, I thought Barbie was lame. I wanted to play with G.I. Joes, and Ninja Turtles, or just the boy dolls. And, I don't think we (me or my sisters) HAD boy dolls. Like, at all. I think maybe for a while, when I got a New Kids On The Block doll for Christmas one year, but I think he got chewed up by my baby sister. Or possibly Nekokoi. She chewed the doll hands and feet as I recall, alot. Also Mom's knitting needles.

No I'm not drunk. I'm just kind of musing to myself at 1 in the morning. I'm in a weird sort of mood. Life is weird.

Hey everybody!

I'm feeling better right now than I have in a VERY long time. Mainly due to a several hour long very philosophical conversation with one of my two best buddies. I'm feeling very sparkly right now, and I hope everyone is having a very pleasant evening as well.

Sorry I've been such a downer lately! I think I'm better now. :]

!@*#$% Online Apps!

Isn't applying for jobs online supposed to be convienent? Isn't that why so many companies have done away with paper applications alltogether? So, why is it, that when every website I'm visiting loads with a quickness, my application to ToysRUs, keeps timing out. e_e I KNEW something like this might happen, so I went with the little name and password option that lets you come back to your app again later. It's a good thing too, or I'd have had to restart 7 times now. Seriously.

It's ridiculous, to the point I just want to cuss about it and grumble. I'm cranky, cause I was trying to get some apps in tonight so that when Christy and I go out tomorrow while Little Man is at school, I can just relax and enjoy our adventure. }:[ Not cool man. Seriously not cool. I just want to apply for a damned job.

Photos of Ichigo

I took some photos of Ichigo today. Alot of photos actually. I haven't touched him for a couple of months. I made his shirt and styled his wig, and set him down on a doll bench, and haven't touched him. It wasn't intentional, I just.. got caught up in sewing for Chris and Doran, and then.. just looking online at other dolls.

But, I've been wanting to cuddle Ichigo again lately, so I took him outside for a shoot, and after he threw his wig for the umpteenth time, swapped it for his pink fur wig, and he just SPARKLED. Like seriously in the dark cave that is Christy's apartment his eyes are sparkly when normally they're just dark. I love my little bratty angel.

Anyway, here, are um, alot of photos. The bicycle is meant for SD sized dolls, and belongs to Christy. :] She was kind enough to lend it to me for a few photos.

Oh no! Cooties!

So Little Man came home from school today. ..Which, you know, is a good thing, cause if he hadn't come home from school, something would be wrong. :O ..But that wasn't my point. He brought home one of those paper fortune tellers. You know, the kind you played with in 2nd grade, where you wrote numbers on paper and your favorite colors, hobbies, friends, stuff like that, and then the person.. This explanation is too long. If you don't know what I mean, just don't worry about it. Some people call them Cootie Catchers. :B Which brings me to my point.

We taught Little Man how to do a cootie shot. You know, "Circle circle, dot dot, now I've got my cootie shot!" And the variations I can remember, "Circle circle, square square, now I have it every where!" and my personal favorite that made Christy laugh was "Circle circle, knife knife, now you have it all your life." Yep. You make a stabbing motion for that last one, in case that wasn't clear.

Christy speculates the Swine flu shot will be a variation of the cootie shot, and just as effective. :B

And in other AWESOME, yesterday when Little Man came home from (the first day of) School, his Mommy came up with an awesome idea! They made a cookie pizza, with swedish fish for anchovies, and sprinkles and frosting for other toppings. :] It was delicious! I took photos. Little Man decorated it all by himself!

Hoofy babies and drawings.

Well today was the first day in several that it was dry enough for sealing and therefore face-upping. Christy did up her little hoofy girl, Emmie. :3 She's just darling, and sadly the lighting was directly above us, so it was impossible to show how sparkly her dark green eyes are. They're very pretty, and I hope to be able to capture them in light sometime.

The two of us took our hoofy babies outside to get some photos, and these are the ones that turned out. Both of us are still learning yet, how to pose them with the hooves, so nothing particularly exciting here, just yet. ;3

And I did take photos (cause working with a scanner is troublesome alot of the time) of the drawings I did yesterday. I wasn't particularly happy with them, but I'm just in a weird frame of mind I think.

I need to practice drawing Doran's horns more. :[ And, the first guy, is supposed to be Doran's father, Ramsey, who will eventually be a Leeke Mihael. I did use a photo for reference for the face. :]

And, the last think I drew yesterday was this, a new deviantart ID:

Dumb as a box of rocks.

I remembered (with help from Christy, as per usual) what my other STUPID, DENSE moment was. XD CSI was on, and I was thinking fondly of Law and Order (any of them really, except for NEW Law and Order Criminal Intent with Jeff Goldblum) and I said, in a sort of dreamy voice "They should totally make a CSI New York!" Which was dumb for two reasons. One, they already have, and two, the story lines they gave them are stupid to a ridiculous degree.

Second life assassin? REALLY? The Davinci Code T-shirts? REALLY?! The whole way the AIDS story arc went. The magic car? The wannabe Jackass who crashes through the stained glass window of the church? All of it is just.. Wow. Also on any given episode you can't (or I can't at least) follow where they are going with the episode at all. It's often like you flip channels every five minutes or so, but somehow it's all the same cops, but a whole new story line. It doesn't flow at ALL.

So yes, doubly stupid, because not only did they make it, but it's the worst of the three, with one of the best acting casts at their disposal.. SERIOUSLY?!

That's all! Just needed to share that. :B

(Christy theorizes that my forgetting is my brain trying to protect me, as it does when you suffer horrible trauma.)

Argyle Domo at San Jose

Yesterday evening after all our adventures, we went to San Jose for dinner. I brought my Argyle Domokun (thanks again Jonathon!) and my camera, and took some fun photos.

And earlier in the day Christy found this rocking duffel! I'm going to be making some custom padding to convert it to a doll carrier. 8D

And, because I never posted photos when I got them (even though I wanted to, I just forgot) here, are the shoes I got for a STEAL at Ross. They're I think last season's PunkRose shoes, sold at Hot Topic and the like for $50+ and I got them for $15.

*o* I'm off on Planet Weird.

I've been a bit of a space-case lately. x_x Like, REALLY spacey and dense. I'm not a stupid person really, just.. when I have to take benadryl daily, and my insomnia keeps me up, combined with anxiety and exhaustion, I have the IQ of a sponge.

So, yesterday we had an adventure, nothing drastic, just walked down to Lands Town Commons, which is a pleasant walk away. We were a bit tired from the previous day, when we walked to Lynnhaven mall for my Job Interview (in the rain), but overall, feeling well enough, if a bit stiff and sore from the chilled air and humidity.

We had a wonderful lunch, at Finn McCools, where I had the best food I'd eaten years. It was a simple enough meal, very Irish, which pleased me. I had their Chicken Pot Pie, which was just, seriously the best meal I've had in years. Next time I'll try their Shephard's pie, because it was a tossup as to which I wanted to try, and I figure if the chicken pot pie was that good, the Shepard's pie must be spectacular! But I didn't mean to ramble about how much I love food. e_e;

After lunch we walked around a bit, and got Batman: Arkham Asylum, and a new DS screen protector for my DS. I had a fleeting thought after we left, that it would have been really cool to buy that game while wearing my batman shirt. I glanced down to see what I WAS wearing, and stated in amazement "I'm wearing my Batman shirt!" ..Christy looked at me like I'd sprouted a third head. She was struck by how amazed I sounded, and teased that I seemed surprised, as if someone had snuck up on me and changed my shirt. I was spacey like that most of yesterday, and have been that way today as well.

I can't recall the second obvious occurance that was today, and spurred writing this post, but Christy gave me that same sort of "Seriously?!" look, and told me she was going to pinch me. XD;;

I've just been a space-cadet, and having trouble making the simplest of decisions (like what I wanted to eat today). It emphasises to me, how patient she is as my friend, since she's not really giving me a hard time about being stuck in outerspace, on planet weird.

In unrelated (or maybe partially related) news, I had the thought that I maybe wanted to sew today, but I don't think I'd be able to sufficiantly focus on any one task. So, I'll probably play the Sims some, if I don't wander off while it's loading. e_e;;

About Me

My photo
I'm Rory or Rorek in most places. I design, sew, and craft, primarily for my Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls. I also dabble in interior design, but I'm a little out of practice.

I post about the things I enjoy, which are sewing, photographing my dolls, designing new outfits, knitting, which I started in September of 2008, thanks to my Mom, and occasionally drawing, or painting.

I also post about Life Events and how they affect me and those that I love.

Currently I am living in DFW, Texas in the USA and working towards a degree in Theology.
