Tummy Aches, and Cleaning

I don't know why, but yesterday, my body decided to revolt. Thursday I went to bed early, with a headache, a little nauseous, and chalked it up to dehydration from the hot day in Williamsburg. I'm thinking it may have been the beginning rumblings of something. Yesterday, Friday, around midday, I started feeling very nauseous again, with that splitting headache.

I think it was watching CSI on my laptop that did it. The compression was iffy, so the image was jumpy, and gave me a headache. I'd been nibbling cheese crackers since I'd woken up, and my stomach did not like that. I got sick a few times and tried to sleep it off. My body didn't really want to comply. I was crying and mumbling nonsense at Ti, who held me till I had to vomit again.

I'm feeling better-ish today. I have a can of chicken soup, to be made in a moment, and I'm avoiding that other half a box of cheese crackers. I don't think I'm actually sick. I'm fairly certain it was the TV show, and eating nothing but cheese crackers. I'm hoping to get the rest of the apartment in order today. I need to eat to have energy for that.

Our apartment has been in varying states of disarray since we added a roommate, simply because there wasn't the additional room, but we've got that mostly sorted out now. Now it's just a matter of putting it all to rights.

So I need to put away all the stuff cluttering up the right side of the living room, piled up on the loveseat. With the remainder of today, and tomorrow morning, I should be able to get it all sorted out, and clean enough for company. Which, is the main goal.

I've got a friend from Arizona, who will be coming by on Sunday. She's in town, visiting friends and family, and luckily had an opening for meeting up and hanging out. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be having a mini-meetup, with several more of my doll friends over. Not too many though, as my apartment is fairly small. I'll likely post some photos afterwards. :)

Colonial Williamsburg

I went to Colonial Williamsburg today, with Christy and Rissa. It was hot, but we had fun for the most part. I got a decent amount of exercise, walking from and to the Visitor's Center. I've been promising pictures for my Mom, since I first moved to this area, so I took that opportunity today. It's a little picture heavy (10 shots).

This little creek runs along side one of the major roads, and is along the pathway from the Visitor's Center, to Colonial Williamsburg. There were some horses before it, but I didn't get any pictures of them, on the way in, and they were gone, when we were leaving. Probably moved to a shadier area.

I'm not sure what this building is, but I think it's just one of the homes inside the Colonial area. I bet it's expensive. Rissa and Christy theorized that homes like these are probably passed down the family and not sold, or rented.

You can see Rissa, and part of Michael, Christy's son, in that first shot. We thought these little cottages were adorable. I thought my Mom would want to see them, so I snapped a couple of photos.

The sign says that the Parish's Home is back that path. I didn't get any photos of the church, but it was really pretty. The red brick building was a store. We went in and looked at cute crafty stuffs, then headed out to get something to eat at a little resteraunt nearby called Retros, cause Rissa was craving a hotdog. They have good chili-cheese fries. >:3

I couldn't tell if these guys were oxen or just strong bulls, but they're pulling a cute little yellow wagon.

I'd like to ride in that carriage next time I visit Williamsburg I think. Michael thought this carriage was really cool. Rissa and Christy were checking out the soap shop.

On our way back to the Visitor's Center we took a shortcut, and saw this mama cow giving her calf a bath. There were two calves and two mamas in there. They were all really mellow and didn't mind us coming right up to the fence to take pictures.

There were all of these quizzes on my friendslist, so I decided to give them a go.

No more metal.

I've taken most of my piercings out. I'm trying to find a job. The only one I'm keeping is my lip, to be removed during shift hours, and replaced after work. I look more my age without so much metal in my face. I miss my eyebrows though. Or rather the piercings. I still have my actual eyebrows of course. There was just not an easy way to keep them open and still get hired, and they were also starting to mess with the end of my eyebrow, making it grow weird. Ah well.

The pictures ended up a little blurry. Blah.

Happy Birthday Nick!

Today. September the 11th, has horrible memories for alot of people. It also happens to be Nick's birthday. So, in your musings today please remember that good things happened on this day too. And, with that said..

Check it out. I bought that Hello Kitty bag I wanted, I guess a week or so ago. I'll be using it mostly as a doll carrier. I can fit all of my dolls in there, somewhat snuggly (as in snug fit), with a small blanket for padding. And yes I mean all four MSDs and the Yo.

Isaac doesn't get much love, because I got him so soon after I got Reggie (and Shannon, who is now Ti Chan's Cory). So, he kind of sits around, not being played with much, which is a real shame.

The person he represents (Nick, my husband) is out to see, and today, September, 11th, is his birthday. So, I thought it fitting that Isaac get some love on his, and Nick's birthday. Isaac will be getting a new shirt, hat, and possibly a new pair of pants as well. In the mean time, please enjoy a teaser photo of my sweety, and a comparitive, of the man he represents. Nick looks so cute in my Domo hoody, doesn't he? I know Nick isn't blonde, but I had a hell of a time finding a brown close to his, on any site that sells wigs. So, for the moment Isaac wears Elli's first wig.

Rest in Peace Cartman.

This post is in memorium of Harvard Cartman. He passed today, very painfully I think. I found him early this afternoon, with one of his cheek pouches burst. He was cold to the touch. I feel pretty numb right now, and I want to post some pictures in his honor. He was a very sweet hamster and deserves to go to Hamster Heaven if such a thing exists. We loved you Cartman.

About Me

My photo
I'm Rory or Rorek in most places. I design, sew, and craft, primarily for my Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls. I also dabble in interior design, but I'm a little out of practice.

I post about the things I enjoy, which are sewing, photographing my dolls, designing new outfits, knitting, which I started in September of 2008, thanks to my Mom, and occasionally drawing, or painting.

I also post about Life Events and how they affect me and those that I love.

Currently I am living in DFW, Texas in the USA and working towards a degree in Theology.
