Back to Virginia

The ticket is booked. I move back to Virginia on June 18th. I should be arriving a little after 1pm according to my itinerary, barring any delays.

US Airways, flights 1822 and 2668. Total time 5hours 5minutes with connections.

Now I need to finish packing up my stuff and ship it.

Chocolate Strawberries and Cream Sweatervest

I started knitting this on May 15th, which was not last Friday, but the one before, and finished it tonight at Knit Night. I did take a photo of Ichigo with the beginning, because I knit it on a teeny little size 3 loop(borrowed from Amy).


I switched to doublepoints for the v-neck and arm-hole portion, and the 3 needle bind off. :3 It's a very simple improvised pattern, and so I think I should be able to repeat it.

It's blocking now:


And tomorrow when it's all dry, I'll snip the ends and take photos of Ichigo wearing it. :D

This is the yarn that I dyed at Monica's a couple of Saturdays back. I never posted pictures then. I'll do so now.











And, one of it all skeined. You can see what it looks like balled, in the first photo with Ichigo.


I dyed some roving too, but I only have a picture of that hung up to dry, and then dry and waiting to be spun. Both the yarn and roving belong to Amy, who was kind enough to let me dye them for her. :]



But yes, this yarn is SO soft, and it was a DREAM to knit. I need to find out what kind of yarn it is so I can buy some for myself. :D

New theme! The Cupcake Club continues. :D

Well I feel accomplished! I finally changed my theme for Livejournal. I put up a new Friends Only image, seen below, made a whole new cupcake mood theme, and made a new cupcake background image. I started at around 3 this afternoon, with the background image, playing with my tablet and just kind of fiddling around, then I made the new Friends Only image, and then I pixelated 35 cupcakes for a new mood theme. :D

It was very time consuming, but I feel good. I don't anticipate changing my theme any time soon, so I feel it was worth the effort. I mean, I stuck with my Domo-kun theme for quite awhile. :] Though, I never made a domo mood theme. If you don't remember what it looked like before, see my Insane Journal (never updated).

Anyway this is the new Friends Only pic I put up, of Chris.

Jessie is a girly girl, despite my best efforts. :B

So on the one hand, I'm totally thrilled at having a little girl doll amongst all my boys, but on the other hand, I do NOT own anything girly. At ALL. Not for me, not for them. Well not counting my Hello Kitty messenger bag, and barrettes.

So when I was dressing little Jessie for photos today, I discovered that she is a GIRLY girl. A CRANKY girly girl, because I do not own anything girly for her. She's finally decided that she wants brown hair. Preferably in a lolita curly style wig. WTF. I wasn't expecting her to be so frilly. So brown eyes, brown hair, and GIRLY. I have a doll of my sister Neko. :P Her attitude seems to be a blend of the two of us as well. @_@

So anyway I posted a few photos of her to Solia in our BJD hangout thread, and was told that she still looks boyish. It's true, and the spelling of Jesse is boyish too. So I've settled on 'Jessie' and I'm gonna make her some girly clothes tonight to help, since the girliest doll clothing I have belongs to Ichigo and that would be too big for her. :B

Anyway, these are the photos I posted. :D

I also need to get some material suitable for shoes because I have some really cute ideas and I want to try making shoes her for her. That has nothing to do with anything else though, I'm just saying.

I'm still not sure, but I like what I see.

I'm still playing around with wigs and eyes, but I think I've picked a name for the Narsha girl. She seems like a Jesse to me. I took a few more photos today.





For now I'm sticking with this darker blue, and the auburn wig, but I still like her with the short black wig. This wig is actually the DoC Yen default, that I bought after I got Ro, since I loved the look of it. Sadly it was too small (6/7) but I kept it, since I'd trimmed it a bit. She is the only doll I've ever put it on, that it actually fits, and well.

I thought for a bit, that she might fit into the Hanlon clan but when I tried to pose her with Declan and Seanan, all three of them threw fits, in the forms of flopping, flailing, kicking, and in Seanan's case, unstringing. @_@ He actually unstrung himself. His elastic miraculously untied. Wild. So yeah, she's not a Hanlon, but I do still want my Sleepy Narsha boy to be Ossian.

Aaaand that's it. :D I just wanted to post up a couple of quick pics. I'm feeling a bit off because of allergies, so I'm gonna go knit for awhile I think.

Long day was LONG.

I'm too tired to post a fully detailed entry this evening, but I wanted to share these photos (and I swear I will have the photos from last Saturday up soon).

Today I gave Jonathan's(Nekokoi's longtime BF/Fiance) Narsha a new faceup. He's found that the sculpt isn't right for who she is supposed to be, and so he's going to let me buy her a bit at a time, and he let me bring her home today. I gave her a simple faceup with darker brows (they were blonde before, see below) played with her a bit. I'll likely sew something for her over the next few days.

I've since swapped the red eyes for some blue eyes. No pics because the sun had already gone down by the time I got home. No idea what I want to name her yet, but I've toyed with the names Emily and Jesse so far. We'll see what sort of personality manifests over the next several days.

Today, Neko and I dyed her Xavin. :] It went pretty well, and she looks GREAT. Pics should be up on her LJ tomorrow. As a result of being on our feet all day though, we're both exhausted. XD Today was a really great day overall.

Christy shared with me, a Yo-SD footy pajama pattern. <3 So, I got started right away, most of which I sewed yesterday. I had to redraft the pattern and tweak it through out, but I think I finally have it right. :3 Anyway I took some photos. :3 Nothing fancy, just having a little fun. :3
